NLT launched a project called "Ouï-lire" [literally, the ear reads, in Arabic] in association with the Abdelwahab Ben Ayed FABA Association. The project provides for setting up a sound studio within NLT to produce audio versions of a number of books. These are destined to benefit the visually impaired, the blind, as well as those with reading disabilities, the sick and any reader who prefers listening to books rather than reading them with their eyes.

The project also aims to produce audio educational material to be used by teachers to promote reading among students.
